Why do I have to complete this training?

All students, like health employees, are required to take Provincial Violence Prevention training to meet the requirements at the site of their practice experience/practicum, based on the provincial OH&S requirements.

Where else can I get the same training?

If you are a current and active employee of a Health Authority and your worksite is classified as High-Risk, you can self-register for the same training provided to you by the Health Authority through LearningHub.
 
You may also choose to complete this training through Douglas College’s Continuing Studies Program or SafeCareBC at your own cost.

What is your course cancellation/refund policy?

  1. No refunds or credit will be given for no-shows.
  2.  
  3. No refunds will be given to cancellations within 7 days of the course. Students can request to reschedule a course date if their request to withdraw from the course is provided with 72 hours advance notice.

  5. Any requests for a refund with at least 7 days’ notice before the course will be subject to a 25% administration fee.
  6.  
  7. Students who are disruptive or exhibit inappropriate behaviour will be removed from class, and no refund or credit will be issued.

  8. All open courses are held based on the enrolment of at least six registered participants. If a class is cancelled, students have the option of receiving a full refund or transferring to the next available date.
